A BULAWAYO man was found dead at a deserted dam in Entumbane Thursday morning after being reported missing for one week.
The cause of the man's death, in his 30s has not be ascertained as the police are yet to avail more information after concluding investigations.
Speculation was rife that the man was murdered while some sources in the suburb suspected foul play.
He was not readily identified but was discovered by the Bulawayo Fire Brigade team which was conducting its routine checks in the suburbs.
The man had been missing since Thursday last week.
Entumbane ward councillor Gladys Masuku said details surrounding the man's death were still sketchy but efforts were underway to get more information surrounding the incident.
"I have not received a full report on what happened, all I know is that the young man was found today and it is a sad situation for us all," said Masuku.
She said the police are looking into the matter and they will get to the bottom of it.
"There will be more details when the police investigate on this issue so that they find out the cause of this man's death," said Masuku.
She did not rule out that the man could have drowned.
