Former Highlanders FC striker Njabulo Ncube is on the run after he reportedly swindled his close buddy, Dickson Chitambo out of $900.

Sourses said Chitambo, a businessman with close links to property owners had lined Ncube's uncle to a woman indentified as Sharon who wanted to buy a flat at Thokozani Flats in  Mzilikazi.

"Chitambo is linked to a number of property owners. After successfully linking   Njabulo's uncle to a female customer (Sharon), the player took Chitambo's thank you token of $1000 for his personal use" said the source.

It turns out , Njabulo  just became greedy and decided to keep Chitambo's commission for facilitating the house deal.

"At first Njabulo argued that since he drove his uncle around when processing paperwork he needed $100  for fuel. After his demand, Njabulo was told to go and give  Chitambo $900 which he never did. After getting wind that   Njabulo was given his $900, Chitambo confronted the soccer player. But with Njabulo not keen on paying, Chitambo approached the police".

Chitambo said Njabulo has been playing hide and seek on him.

"I have since notified the police at Barbourfields who said I should seek an audience with him. It's high time that he should get arrested because I have been trying to talk to him to no avail".

However, Njabulo poured cold water on the issue.

"Who is your source? Do you trust him or her? I know people are missing me in the field of play. I still have what it takes as a player and I'm currently taking to Bantu Rovers officials.

"There is nothing like that, Dickson is my best friend".
