Woman arrested for nearly causing her death by driving without licence

A woman from Makokoba in Bulawayo who nearly caused her own death and of another passenger by driving her vehicle without licence and later getting involved in an accident has been dragged to court.

Teclar Nyoni was not asked to plead to the charge of driving without licence when she appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa. The magistrate remanded her to November 5 for trial.

The court heard that on August 28 this year Nyoni was driving a Nissan vehicle in the company of Tendai Nyamane and when she was approaching 6th Avenue in Bulawayo she loss control of the vehicle and in veered off the road and hit a tree.

This resulted to her injured and Nyamane had also minor injuries in the accident. She was later arrested for the case.
