Rasha Mbanjeni Ndabazabo Vuya Ndlovu an ex Zipra war veteran and Zapu Council of Elders member yesterday called on the Zanu-PF government to stop its friends, the Chinese from looting gold resources in Matebeleland where he said foreigners were bringing a host of employees from Mashonaland while locals were not getting jobs.

Ndlovu said Chinese were dominating in the running of mines in Fibabusi parts of Gwanda and Matobo districts. He said the looting was leaving Matebeleland and its people poorer.

Meanwhile, the Chinese President Xi Jinping is due in Harare early next month on an historic state visit that will elevate political and economic ties between the two countries.

President Mugabe, speaking to reporters in Turkey where he and President Xi attended the G20 Summit, said he looked forward to his Chinese counterpart's visit with "great interest".

It would only be the second time that a Chinese President has visited Zimbabwe following the visit of Jiang Zemin in 1996.
