Former NUST VC Ndlovu dies

Former National University of Science and Technology (NUST) vice chancellor, Professor Lindela Ndlovu has died. Ndlovu died in Bulawayo today, a week after his contract was not renewed.
Ndlovu had been battling with diabetes for years.
In leading the condolences the MDC said it learnt with great shock and sadness of the passing of Ndlovu.
"His passing is great loss to the academic community in Zimbabwe and abroad. His achievements and developments in academia, particularly for NUST will benefit generations to come.
"His death comes sadly barely a month after the passing of yet another celebrated academic from NUST, Dr Lawton Hikwa," said MDC.
It said the late Professor Ndlovu was an inspirational figure among many in Zimbabwe, particularly in academia circles.
"We will always remember and cherish the services and achievements of this great man."
