The First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe has stressed that she does not lead a faction and that all is well between her and Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The private media has of late sensationally claimed that there is bad blood between the First lady and the Vice President as both are angling to succeed President Robert Mugabe.
The sensational claims even spilled into parliament with MDC-T legislator, Nelson Chamisa insinuating that Dr Mugabe's rallies are giving Mnangagwa sleepless nights, but the veteran leader of business in parliament, scoffed at the claims, saying the First Lady is holding Zanu-PF and not MDC-T rallies.
And today while addressing thousands at Shawasha grounds in Mbare, the First Lady sang from the same hymn as Mnangagwa, saying there is no feud between them as they are all as united as ever behind President Mugabe.
The First Lady, however took a swipe at a small click of war veterans who are plotting her ouster as the Zanu-PF Secretary for Women Affairs, alleging that she is against the ex-combatants who fought for the liberation of the country.
"A certain click of ex-combatants is abusing my name and propagating false stories about me to hostile media houses. They think that they can silence me for chiding them for their misdeeds that violate party principles. I won't be unjustifiably silenced by wrong doers who want to use war credentials to intimidate others," she said.
Dr Mugabe said she does not hate war veterans and that more should be done to improve their welfare.
Zanu-PF Central Committee members, the Harare provincial leadership, legislators, members of the Women's and Youth Leagues and representatives of various business groups attended the rally.
At the rally, Dr Mugabe also donated 250 tonnes of maize and 115 tonnes of rice, which will be distributed to members irrespective of their political affiliation through their wards.
Her first born son, Russel, and his friends, also donated tonnes of salt, 3 tonnes sugar and 3000 liters of cooking oil to 600 elderly women in Mbare through Mbuya Hwiza.
