People's Democratic Party led by Tendai Biti has indicated that it does not tolerate violent means of luring supporters which has been for years adopted by the ruling Zanu PF and would only do its politics in a democratic and peaceful way.
PDP Bulawayo's spokesperson Fortune Mlalazi said political parties in the country must learn to tolerate each other and shun violence.
"People must be able to solve their problems without engaging into violence," he said. "PDP has a strategic workshop where these issues were discussed and participants agreed to engage the media, , to have a massive recruitment of membership in both the urban and rural areas. People in Bulawayo must be able to know that PDP is their alternative party of choice."
Mlalazi said the agreed terms were that members should fund the party and it must not relay from donor community.
"The members must be able to sacrifice their resources for the party like what our elders did when they sacrificed their lives for the liberation of this country," he said.
