Harare Residents Trust wants person from outside council to take over as town clerk

As the Harare City Council is busy hunting for someone to replace former town clerk Tendai Mahachi, Harare Residents Trust has called for someone from outside the council to take up the post for sanity top prevail.

"The Harare City Council is looking for a Town Clerk to replace the dysfunctional Dr Tendai Mahachi, suspended, and legitimately ousted from Town House. The HRT is hoping that external candidates will make it, to bring in new ideas and progress," said the Trust.

Mahachi was removed from his post on allegations of maladministration.
