Low level of income affect council expenditure levels

According to latest council report the low level of income collected by the Bulawayo City Council seriously affected the expenditure levels of the local authority between October and November.
The council noted that expenditure to the month of October 2015 amounted to US$67 million whereas the budgeted expenditure was US$89 million.
"This was a result of low levels of cash inflows. Collections for the month of October 2015 is $6 242 000 more than for the previous month $6 118 000) by 2%. Total payments in 2015 were higher than in 2014," reads the council report.
The minutes states that however all cash received from various services was banked in one account. She confirmed that $400 000 had been allocated for the Epping Forest Pipeline Project in October, 2015.
