Over 200 houses demolished in Budiriro

Harare Residents Trust has reported that the houses demolitions were still continuing in Harare and over 200 houses have been destroyed in Budiriro opposite High Glen.
"Housing demolitions are in progress as we speak in Budiriro opposite High Glen. Over 200 houses have been demolished. Council alleges that they gave residents notice to leave these houses 2 months ago," said the trust.
"These stands were allocated to people by Stars and Teurai Ropa Cooperatives, the site allocated for housing stands was meant for a hospital. the residents on the site are accused of illegally connecting water pipes from High Glen."
The trust said council also alleges that most houses in this site have unapproved housing plans.
