Harare Residents Trust has urged the Councillors to work with the residents to develop their wards.
"Councillors should work with residents to develop their wards, pass information from the residents to the council and back to the residents," said the trust.
"They stand in as a mediator between the government and the residents and take note service delivery issues, ensuring that the services are provided by the service providers. Councillors have to bring feed back to the residents as they are the people who voted for them. Political affiliations should be put aside and work must be carried out for the benefit of the society."
