Man accused by ex- wife of stealing their daughter

A Harare man has reportedly stolen his daughter from her from his former wife without her consent.
This was heard by a Harare magistrate Reward Kwenda when Collin Matare appeared before him after he was dragged to the court by her former wife who was demanding the custody of the 12 year old child.
The ex-wife Talent Matsika dragged to the court saying she left the daughter in custody of her elder sister for work and on the day at mid day the former husband went to the house to collect her without her consent. She said she received a call from her sister that Matare had taken the child who told her that Matare said he can do better in taking care of the child than her.
In response Matare said the child had told him that she no longer want to stay with her mother as she was not happy with her living conditions. Matare told the court that the child said she was no ,longer interested to stay with her mother because of her love escapades.
The magistrate ordered Matare to bring the child to court for interview before the case was postponed to December 23.
