They say Christmas is time for giving and sharing - that's what former ZBC DJ Ezra 'Tshisa' Sibanda has done this year.

Sibanda together with his Facebook friends this festive season helped a 17-year-old Brunaberg mum who was stuck at UBH in Bulawayo after giving birth.

The young lady had no money and that's when Sibanda and friends "contributed cash to clear her hospital bill."

Not only did there pay off her hospital bill but they donated clothes for the newly born as well.

This is what Sibanda had to say via Facebook:

"17 year old Simisani Ncube is finally out of hospital and now relaxing at her rural home ready to enjoy Festive season with her aged grand mother in Brunaberg, Plumtree. She is deeply humbled by the generosity of good hearted people who contributed cash to clear her hospital bill after the campaign to help by yours truly. The young pregnant orphan endured close to 2 weeks of trauma detained at UBH because she couldn't raise cash to pay the hospital bill. She was transported by an Ambulance from her rural home suffering from severe stomach pains, treated and discharged but couldn't be taken back and was left to find her way back home almost 200km away. The money raised paid her hospital bills, medication, Transport and I also bought clothing for the unborn baby. We also requested the hospital to do full blood test and I'm so happy that she came out clean. The remaining cash was given to her to take home and also use it to register and transport herself to Brunaberg Hospital for check ups. She promised to update me regularly and will continue monitoring her and updating you. The full list of people that helped the young girl will be published in due course."

She is free and now home in Brunaberg Plumtree
