Mechanic burns bus with mosquito coil

A bid by the mechanic to repel mosquito backfire after the bus he was sleeping in exploded into flames and got destroyed.
Aleck Bure pleaded guilty to negligently causing serious damage to property when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Reward Kwenda. He was remanded to January 7 for sentence.
Bure went drinking and came back wasted around 1am. He slept in the bus belonging to Musasiwa and sons where he works.
Before he slept he lit a mosquito coil and placed it on the bus dash board. It was discovered the coil later fell on the bus seat and started a fire.
Bure woke up to smoky environment and put efforts to stop the fire which was fruitless until the whole bus was burnt.
The fire also destroyed goods worth $10 112.
