Zanu PF holds primary elections in Guruve

The ruling Zanu PF has held primary elections in Guruve South in preperations for the by elections after the seat was left vacant following the expulsion of the incumbent MP Sylvester Nguni for being aligned to former Vice President Joice Mujuru.

This was revealed by Harare East MP Terence Mukupe through Facebook post.

"Just completed conducting Zanu PF primary elections in Guruve South for the vacant Parliament of Zimbabwe House of Assembly seat. The turnout for the primary elections was overwhelming. Victory is certain," he said.

His post sparked response from Edward Nyambawaro who said, "In your next Parliament Session please move Motion for Drought Response Plan and Resources Mobilization strategies immediately . rural votes need food on the table not just MP elections."

He said government has a poor history of disaster planning Mobilization and resources appeal.

"Hunger is imminent in Zimbabwe as a whole, save lives and action is urgently needed on starvation," he said.
