The alleged unprofessional conduct by some Harare City Council officials have irked the council's finance Director Justin Mandizha who seem frustrated by the high levels of unprofessionalism by his colleagues.
This was revealed by the harare Residents Trust which said some Councillors and treasury officials report that the new Finance Director for the City of Harare has experienced serious challenges in accessing basic files of the City Treasury Department due to alleged acts of sabotage by other senior treasury officials who feel that they deserved to have been appointed to the position.
"It is reported that the new Finance Director Justin Mandizha seem to be frustrated by the high levels of unprofessional conduct by his colleagues who have been with the City of Harare for a longer time," said the trust.
"Such are the hardships being experienced by the new Finance Director that even some councillors are reportedly angry at his professional conduct that they feel Mandizha is not fully submitting to them."
The trust said in one of the incidents, a group of rowdy councillors, used to be worshiped and bullying council employees, barged into Mandizha's office without prior notice and found him busy doing something else, and he told them he was 'busy' which left the councillors furious and angry at such 'disrespect to the employer', a term they want all employees to acknowledge.
"The HRT urges councillors to desist from bullying council employees when they visit their offices seeking favours," said the trust.
