12 Jan 2016 at 11:39hrs | Views
A Kuwadzana man allegedly struck tenant with an axe handle for not paying rentals and water bills on time.
Joel Kurarama (65) left his tenant Kelvin Chigodoro (27) nursing wounds and swelling all over the body after he allegedly struck him with a wooden axe handle.
This was heard when Kurarama was dragged to court.
Allegations are that on a date not mentioned this year, Kurarama attacked Chigodoro for failing to pay rent and water bills. But he denied the charge when he appeared in court. He told the court that they fought and he over powered Chigodoro. He said Chigodoro was just bitter that he was over powered and was trying to avoid to pay rent. Kurarama was further remanded for judgement.
After the assault Chigodoro was taken to hospital and a report made to the police led to Kurarama's arrest.
