'Mugabe, give us our freedom'

A Political commentator Makhelithi Ndiweni has lamented that if Zimbabwe's politics was not politics of tribalism, the country could been at par with South Africa economically.

He then begged the government of Zimbabwe to give the people of Matabeleland a chance to decide their future peacefully through a referendum!

"It is a known fact that the Ndebele state was a sovereign state until it was destroyed by the whites around 1893 therefore we ask his excellence the President of Zimbabwe to consider giving our people a chance to decide their future in his lifetime, I believe this will do a favour to his legacy that had been stained by Gukurahundi and the deliberate marginalisation of the Matebele people," he said.

"Like the Jews we are survivors now we want to be our own masters so (President Robert) Mugabe give us our freedom."
