Bulawayo based pressure group Ibhetshu LikaZulu plan to commemorate the notorious Gukurahundi Massacres that began on 20, January of 1982.
"Today the 20th of January is the day in which it assumed it's the day Gukurahundi started, so will be having the commemoration on Saturday" it said in a brief statement.
The event is a remembrance of an estimated 20 000 largely Ndebele speaking people who perished in Matabeleland and Midlands in the 1980s, in what has become known as the Gukurahundi Massacres.
