Zanu PF Bulawayo youth league has started begging for cash donations to be channeled towards President Robert Mugabe's birthday gig.
This year's festivities, estimated to gobble $800 000 are set for Mucheke stadium in Masvingo on February 27.
The celebrations are part of 21st February Movement.
Youth Secretary for Information and Publicity for Bulawayo province, Colleta Shoko, said they were in the process of identifying institutions to approach for donations.
"Provinces were given a $30,000 target for the national commemorations. We're in the process of soliciting for funds. We will engage the business community before holding our fundraising dinner," said Shoko.
In the past, several rogue youth league members have been accused of extorting business people.
The 21st February Movement celebrations were conceived in 1986 and have been on the annual calendar ever since.
The event has been used to inspire many youths in the country who are encouraged to emulate President Mugabe's life.
