MDC president Professor Welshman Ncube is facing damaging allegations that could fast track his political career demise.
Professor Ncube, who came a distant third in the 2013 presidential race is accused by a group of party members of gross sexual abuse dating back to the days of united Movement for Democratic Change.
The members raised the matter in petition in possession of Bulawayo24.com to Ncube.
Part of the petition
"…for your conduct around female members of the party which has caused conflicts in the party.
" We have women in the party who stand accused of taking their personal fights into the structures of the party.
"We have had a situation where Bulawayo youth provincial leadership literally stopped functioning.
"Bulawayo's main province conducted a number of meetings in an effort to resolve such problems whose origins became clearly embarrassing as your name Mr President got mentioned in the fights.
"There are many more examples that can be given and these examples are common knowledge within the party" they wrote.
They added "for failing to protect the dignity of the family institution when amorous behaviour particularly between people in top leadership positions and vulnerable junior members became the norm in the party.
"You have at some point when you were still the Secretary General of the party been accused by one former female employee of the party for sexual harassment. This has undoubtedly dented the image of the party."
