Journalist arrested and detained for failing to produce press card

A freelance journalist based in Beitbridge Wellington Mukanhaire has reportedly been arrested and briefly detained in the border town for failing to produce a press card.
The Zimbabwe Union of Journalists reported that Mukanhaire, a freelance journalist based in Beitbridge was arrested and detained by the police overnight for failing to produce his press card.
" He was released after paying a $50 fine. ZUJ condemns the continued harassment of journalists while on assignment," ZUJ said.
