Hubby assaults wife for showing more respect to pastor

A Harare man is reportedly tormenting his wife saying she is in love with their church pastor and calls her a goblin.

Angeline Jonera is accusing his hubby Denford Sada of humiliating her in front of their children.

"I can no longer tolerate Denford's behaviour. He insults me infront of our children, relatives and neighbours with vulgar language" she said at the Harare civil court seeking a protection order.

"He assaults me for showing some respect to our church pastor accusing me of having an affair with him.

"Right now he stalks and escorts me everywhere I go.

"He turned our children against me accusing me of witchcraft each time we engage in an argument.

"Each time he comes home drunk. He mocks and degrades me, calling me a goblin".

 In response, Denford said "I insult and assault her because of the attitude she reveals to me towards our church pastor."

"Angeline is my wife and I love her so much but she shows more respect for the pastor than she does to me.

"The other problem is she always invites her relatives to our matrimonial house without my consent".

Angeline was granted the protection order.
