'Organ' useless, not productive

THE Organ of National Healing is a useless and not productive thing that has wasted a lot of taxpayer's money, a clergyman has said.
Created by the Global Political Agreement via Article 7, the organ was charged with a duty of addressing issues that have to do with national healing.
Top amongst the many issues is the 1980-1985 Gukurahundi genocide which President Robert Mugabe stands accused of planning and implementing.
Addressing delegates at the Ideals Festival event at Entumbane, in Bulawayo today - Reverent Useni Sibanda said the organ of national healing is not working and is unproductive.
"They (the organ) are not working, they are unproductive. There are supposed to be visiting people and doing work but their ministers are getting arrested with pastors instead for doing what they must do.
"There is in fact a rise in cases of violence, abductions and curtailing of freedoms of speech, assembly etc.
National Healing Minister - Moses Mzila Ndlovu was recently arrested in Hwange with a Roman Catholic clergyman for allegedly addressing meetings on Gukurahundi. He is out of custody on bail.
The cleric, who is also a journalist added: "Jabulani Sibanda is still going around forcing people to attend his political meetings and beating up those that do not agree with him.
"In Harare, Chipangano is beating up people and taking their properties and where is this organ? Is it paralyzed, must we do an organ transplant? asked the cleric rhetorically.
Jabulani Sibanda is the leader of the Zimbabwe War Veterans Association where as Chipangano is a Zanu PF - Mbare based terror gang.
Rev Useni also stated that the National Healing Organ is made up of "fighting" politicians who will never agree unless if they discussing about being given cars.
"Those people will never agree on anything, save for which range of 4x4S they should get. That is why they have cars and have not done a thing," he said.
The Ideas Festival was organized by prominent civic society outfit - Bulawayo Agenda.
