Marauding dogs maul Eastvale child to death

A five year old minor, Success Kanhayi from Eastvale Suburb in Masvingo was mauled to death by six dogs last Sunday.
Masvingo Mirror reported that Acting Provincial Police Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhehwa confirmed the incident.
Success was walking along Mangwandi Street with his mother's young sister Bridget Mapisa.
He was attacked when they were about to reach the house opposite to house number 871 Mangwandi Street.
The dogs belong to Ahmed Jogee (59) of house number 871 Mangwandi Street and Edward Mukaratirwa (38) of house number 873 Mangwandi Street.
Success sustained multiple injuries all over the body and he was taken to Masvingo General Hospital.
Success died in hospital on the evening of the same day.
The Police and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPSA) attended the seen.
Dhehwa encouraged those who have dogs to keep them in kennels.
He said those walking around with their dogs should always keep them on leash which is one metre long
