AFTER having had enough of her boyfriend's wife's harassment, a Mutare woman was left with no option, but to approach the Civil Courts for protection.

Manica Post reported that Bridget Muzondori appeared before magistrate, Yeukai Chigodora, praying for a protection order against her boyfriend's wife, Chipo Dube whom she said was violent and always disturbs her peace.

"I was once married to her husband, but we later divorced. From there, she always disturbs my peace. She is in the habit of visiting my parents' place of residence insulting me in the process. She is violent and whenever she comes at my parents' place of residence she insults me calling me all sorts of names. I am tired of her violent behaviour, therefore I now need the law to protect me. I was once convicted of assault and even served 20 days of community service after she had made a false police report that I had assaulted her with catapult. I am tired Your Worship, she always want to see me in police cells. That is why she is still following and provoking me," said Muzondori.

When asked to explain her side of the story, Dube denied ever assaulting or visiting Muzondori at her place of residence as she had alleged.

"This lady was my friend and I was providing food for her when her parents were away. She was my neighbour. She then fell in love with my husband and when I discovered that the two had an affair, it I confronted her. I am surprised to hear in this court that I followed her to where she stays for I last spoke to her in December last year. She is the one who is disturbing my peace. She sends her relatives to insults me over the phone. Muzondori is only hurt that my husband dumped her. She phoned me insulting me with private numbers," she said.

However, Muzondori denied all the allegations leveled against her, saying she does not even know Dube's cellphone numbers.

"She is lying that I am sending her messages and calling her with unknown numbers. I never sends my sisters to insults her. She is provoking me and if I react, she will have me arrested. I am tired of that, let the law protect me," insisted Muzondori

Chigodora granted the binding protection order urging both parties to keep peace with each other.
