Auditors to pounce on Harare City Council

The Auditor General has appointed Prince Waterhouse Coppers to conduct a forensic audit of Harare City Council owned Companies and joint ventures, most which have never declared a dividend to the municipality.
The firms are Easi Park, City Park Limited, Shawasha Business Complex, Mabvazuva Village, Sunshine meats, High Glen Textile Factory, CC City and Sunshine Development.
The developments come amid suspicions that there must be massive abuse of funds by the local authority's administration.
