council has reportedly resolved to send new town clerk on indefinite
leave the town clerk James Makore whose appointment caused the
suspension of Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni on indefinite leave.

Residents Trust said a Special Council meeting held today in the Harare
City Council chambers has resolved that the improperly recruited Town
Clerk James Mushore should be send on indefinite leave pending the
determination of all the court matters that were brought concerning his
recruitment.
"The HRT commends the more than 30 councillors of Harare who made this resolution, and urges them to move with speed to resolve the matter of the Town Clerk and allow the council to make some progress on the achievement of the Vision 2025," said the trust. "Following this council resolution, Josephine Ncube is confirmed as the Acting Town Clerk."
