Harare businessman arrested for selling stands to two people

Harare businessman who was arrested for selling an industrial stands to two people for $80 000 each has been ordered to pay back over $28 000 that he had been paid by one of the buyers.
Wellborne Hativagone (57) off Highlands is the owner of Mariwebb (Pvt) Ltd which is located at number 312 Esap Way in Willowvalle. His company was ordered top pay the complainant $14 189.
He was then jailed three of which one year was suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour. The remaining two years were suspended on condition he paid back the $14 189.
It is alleged that some time in February 2013 he approached the self employed complainant saying he was selling a stand . the complainant got interested and they signed an agreement of sale.
Havatigone requested for down payment of $20 000 and the complainant offered his house as part of payment. The two agreed that the complainant would hand over the property valued $42 000 and would later pay the balance.
later the complainant paid him the sum of $28 379. In November the complainant was approached by Petros Chigodora who said he bought the stand from the accused.
When the complainant approached the accused to find out, the accused he failed to explain and a report to the police led to his arrest.
