Harare Residents are reportedly irked by the processes taken by the council in terms of getting ownership to the properties.
Harare Residents Trust said Councillor Barnabus Ndira informed residents that on the issue of ownership the council held a process were those who have their parents who died to re-register with Remembrance.
"On the issue of ownership the Councillor explained to residents that there is a court case which is hindering progress the only chance which is there is to communicate with the people to withdraw the case," the trust said. "The residents were disgruntled as they said the councillor is not putting much effort for the issue to be addressed. The Councillor said what they can do is lobby for the issue as councillors but for now they can push for the reduction of the bills charged as a full house costs $105.00 and in the singles a room costs $34.00."
