Chivi woman to serve 5 days in jail for hiding hubby

A 19-year-old Chivi woman is going to spend five days in jail after hiding away her husband wanted by Police in connection with a theft case at Chitowa Business Center.
Masvingo Mirror reported that Mollin Hlau appeared before Chivi Resident Magistrate Bishard Chineka facing charges of attempting to defeat the course of justice.
It is the State case that on April 2, 2016 at 10am in Donhedzai Village under Headman Madamombe, two Police officers in the process of investigations received information that Tinevimbo Chiuya Mangombe was at his home.
Hlau told the officers when asked that her husband left for Zvishavane on March 29 and never came back yet the suspect was hiding inside the house.
While Hlau and the officers were still talking Mangombe dashed out of the house and ran away heading to a river north of their homestead but was later arrested together with Hlau.
Angeline Mujakachi prosecuted.
