A huge number in a class of aspiring drivers who sat for provisional driver's licence were flunked last week on Friday for "failing to read instruction."
They got everything wrong when they filled the 'usual X' instead of the new system of ticking.
Byo24News learnt that the class which had the examination on Friday morning had some misunderstandings with the examiners as they alleged that they are supposed to tick.
"that was daylight robbery because these people from VID should have told us before the exam if they are fair".
They claim that the issue of ticking was written on the rules list which is a lie because we did not see that," said Mlungisi who also sat for the exam.
The class had a total of 20 candidates but only five passed.
One man only identifies as Ngwenya who had a son who took the exam on the day expressed his displeasure with the way VID inspectors treated the candidates.
"We tried to reason with them so that maybe they could re-mark but they did not want to buy our story," said Ngwenya.
When VID was contacted fot comment, they said they have rules to follow so if candidates fail to follow rules, they have the power to fail them as they cannot compromise their standards.
