Funding constraints stalls Mberengwa -West Nicholson Road construction

The funding constraints have reportedly stalled the construction of the Mberengwa-West Nicholson Road and the government is seized with efforts to source funding for the project.
This was said by Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Jorum Gumbo in parliament when he was asked by house of assembly member about the situation concerning the road.
"West Nicholson Road is a 61.3km road with 13.6 surfaced in 1998. The project is stalled because of funding constraints. The Ministry is now pursuing the engagement of the private sector in road construction and rehabilitation through public-private partnerships or through Build-Operate and Transfer concessions," the minister said.
"Mberengwa West Nicholson is one of the projects on this project by the Ministry."
