AN alleged irresponsible mother who is in the habit of dumping her child at a bar where her husband would be drinking with his friends has been dragged before the courts. Tsvakai Marindire said his ex-wife, Netsai Mandiyanike, was negligent and stalking him. He told the court that they separated in 2014, but she would not have any of it."She follows me everywhere and dumps the baby even at the bar and I have to take the baby to my mother's place.
Marindire told the court that she at times threatens to burn him with petrol if he continues turning her down. He said he was now living in fear.
However, Mandiyanike was singing from a different hymn book.
"Your Worship, we have not split at all. This man is my husband and since we got married he has been renting a room for me where I stay.
"We love each other and at times we meet in the bush because he does not want his mother to know that we are still together since she dislikes me," she said.
She did not deny ever sending Marindire threatening text messages to the effect that she wanted to burn him with petrol.
Interestingly, she told the court that he was the one who had asked her to send them to him to scare off his new lover.
Marindire kept on insisting on a protection order barring her from visiting his residence and workplace.
Chigodora warned Mandiyanike: "Refuse to be used next time. If indeed he used you, he is now using it against you to get an order against you. The court has no option, but to grant the order."
