Hope Fountain man accused of attempting to kill friend

A man from Hope Fountain in the outskirts of Bulawayo has been dragged to court for allegedly attempting to kill a friend accusing him of being so proud that his brother had bought a a cow.
Phathisani Nkomo (19) was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure. The magistrate remanded him in custody to May 23.
The court heard that Nkomo and his friend Descent Ngwenya were coming from a beer drink when he started accusing Ngwenya of being too proud after his brother bought a cow. He allegedly attacked him with a beer bottle and stabbing him on the upper lip.
A report made to the police led to his arrest.
