A man from Dangamvura in Mutare has been fined $100 for forging his date of birth.
Allen Magwere (48) forged the date of birth in a bid to compete in the recently held Dangamvura Fun Run hosted by Old Mutual.
He appeared before Mutare magistrate Sekai Chiundura and pleaded guilty to the charge. The court heard that he tempered with his passport by erasing his actual age from 1968 to 1966 with the intention of competing in the recently held competition on May 8 this year. When he was asked to produce the passport it was discovered that he had tempered with his age and a report made led to his arrest.
