Soldier fails to pay rentals

A soldier allegedly failed t pay rentals and was hauled before the small claims court by his former land lord.

Tendai Mupamhanga who is stationed in Kwekwe was dragged to court by his former landlord, Andrew Kagande who accused him of failing to pay $220 for rentals. Andrew said Tendai  had moved out of the premises owing him five months' rentals.

"He rented a tuckshop at my house and was supposed to pay $50 every month.  He told me that he will pay me when he got his bonus since he is a soldier. He did not get his bonus in November and i told him that he should pay when he got the money," said Andrew.

 The magistrate barbra Mateko ordered Tendai to pay back $220 by end of next month.
