Woman gets 210 hours of community service for dumping still born baby in toilet

A woman from Tsholotsho is in trouble after she gave birth to a still born baby and dumped it in a pit latrine.
Sinenkosi Khumalo (20) pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared before Tsholotsho magistrate Victor Mpofu. The magistrate convicted and sentenced him to six months in jail which were wholly suspended on condition she performs 210 hours of community service.
The court heard that in April 25 this year at 8am Khumalo who was six months pregnant fell some labour pains and miscarried. She then dumped the baby in a pit latrine.
The offence was discovered by Mboneli Ncube who told others and Khumalo was asked about her pregnancy. She revealed that she dumped the baby in the pit latrine. A report made to the police led to her arrest.
