Land baron up for illegally selling council land

A land baron from Famona in Bulawayo is in trouble after he sold land which belonged to another resident to a home seeker at the cost of $5000.
Reason Ndabalime (36) pleaded not guilty to fraud when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Merlyn Mutshina. he was remanded in custody to June 6.
The court heard that on October 1, 2016 Amos Sawungwema of Northend was looking for a stand to buy and was advised to see Ndabalime who was selling a stand.
Sawungwema met Ndabalime who showed him a stand number 3475 Emganwini as an offer. The complainant paid $5000. On November 4 2015 complainant discovered that there was construction taking place at the stand and it already belonged to someone.
He reported to the police leading to Ndabalime's arrest.
