MDC- proportional representation MP Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga has expressed concerns over the serious shortage of cash saying this was frustrating her life in Zimbabwe.
On her Facebook post Mushonga said, "Am I the only one frustrated by this Zimbabwe life? I go to the bank I don't get cash, I get my card to pay for some groceries, I am told the bank is offline, I go back to the bank, I am told they are migrating from something to the other." she said.
"I decide to pay through what the bank calls mobile moola, it's offline. I am out of ZESA coupons so I have no electricity. I decide to pay through the phone, TelOne the one line on their website is not being answered after 30 minutes. I get through to a number at their learning center where am given another Runhare number a tired lady called Fadzai tells me to phone another number because she doesn't know what I am talking about. I give up and crawl back to my cold bed."
Zimbabwe is currently facing serious cash crisis as banks are characterized by long queues and some people even spending their nights in front of the banks.
Government through the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has said it will introduce the bond notes in August to curb the cash crisis.
