A 45-YEAR-OLD Mutare fuel dealer's house was last week gutted by fire under unknown circumstances.
Manica Post reported that deputy Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda, confirmed the incident that happened at House Number 4182, Chikanga 2 last Saturday at around 3pm.
He said Heaviness Mapunzi left his house on the day in question at around 2pm and went to Forbes Border Post.
"He left his niece, Shamiso Boterai (20) at the house. At around 3pm, he received a phone call from his neighbour, Samuel Simango (38) that his house was on fire" he said.
A fire tender quickly responded to the distressed call, but property had been destroyed.
