Chitungwiza record rise in rape cases

Chitungwiza has recorded an increase in the rape cases according to the police.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police has noted a 30 percent increase of rape cases among adults and juveniles this year.
Speaking at the client service charter, Superintendent Amon Ndou urged members of the public to report cases of rape immediately.
'We have experienced an increase of cases of rape on adults which rose by 30% this is a rise from 33 cases between January and April last year to 43 cases in the same period this year. Rape of juveniles rose by 41% from 32 cases between January and April last year to 45 cases in the same period this year," he said.
