Man steals child

A Chitungwiza man attempted to steal a child when the attempt turned nasty after he was seriously assaulted by members of the public and left him with torn clothes.
The man who initially called him self Farai claimed he had been sent by spirits which he refereed to as Nyenyedzi to bring a child.
He was later identified by another woman who said his name is John Tembo of Unit L Suburbs in Chitungwiza.
Tembo went to Tariro Makwati's home where several children were [playing and dragged a two year old child. However his move was foiled when the mother quickly rushed to the rescue of the child.
He allegedly tried to pull another child but failed and later escaped to another area in the suburb where he continued to tried to snatch the children without success. He was latter apprehended by the residents who assaulted him He was later handed to the police.
