Harare city led by arrogant and ignorant managers- HRT

Harare Residents Trust has claimed that the City of Harare is being led by arrogant and ignorant managers especially in the finance where they allegedly continue to recycle dead wood who who only concern themselves with making money and not responding to residents' issues.

HRT said the departure of a professional in Justin Mandizha means that the City Treasury department has the disadvantage of being led by non substantive person who also reportedly sabotaged the work of the City Treasurer because they felt that the position belonged to them.

"The same team now in charge keeps repeating the same mistakes which they have made all these years, creating leakages along the whole system of revenue generation, yet they are not being reprimanded or displaced to pave way for more competent people," said HRT.

"Whose interests is the Human Capital Director and the Human Resources Committee serving in the City of Harare? Harare City Council needs to fill up the positions of Town Clerk, City Treasurer, Housing and Community Services and Harare Water Directors without undue delays."

The HRT said the failure to have substantive people holding these positions creates room for manipulation of the people in acting positions by the manifestly corrupt Human Resources Committee Chairperson.
