Conductor falls from top of bus, dies

A popular Chivhu conductor for G Joseph and Sons Bus Services, Tapera Chigumira (44) has died after falling from the top of a bus.
Chigumira died at Parerenyatwa Hospital on Friday after he fell from the bus in Chivhu on Wednesday afternoon whilst he was tying luggage.
The incident occurred in the afternoon when the bus was parking at Chapter One Investments, Main Street in town.
Whilst Chigumira was attempting to tie the wrapping paper that was covering the luggage, the thread tore apart from the other side and he fell on the ground with his forehead.
The deceased bled profusely from the mouth and nose and sustained bruises in the face.
Earnest Majoni, the deceased's in-law confirmed the death.
He was transferred to Harare when his condition deteriorated where he died on the same day.
Chigumire was buried on Sunday at Chisaira, Mpatsi area near Sadza growth point. He is survived by 5 children and his wife Sarudzai Majoni.
