BCC donate 4 hectare stand in Selbourne Brooke

The Bulawayo City Council has donated a 4 hectares of stand in Selbourne Brooke to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Imbizo District for the construction of the district resource centre.
Imbizo District Education office will conduct a ground breaking ceremony at the city site on September 30 starting at 10am.
In a letter written to stakeholders in Bulawqayo, Imbizo District Committee Chairperson a Mr R Sibanda indicated that the Ministry of Primary and secondary Education is decentralised into provinces and further into districts as such Bulawayo Metropolitan Province has such several districts.
"One such district is named Imbizo and administers 36 schools both primary and secondary. The district stretches from Emganwini covering Nkea and Nkulumane including such schools as Whitestone, CBC in Hillside, Waterford, Kensington, Petra Schools, Masiyephambili Schools, Centenary Mahatshula, Induna, Cement and others," reads the letter.
"All these schools are mandated to set up Resources Centre that will enhance learning and research. The City of Bulawayo has donated a 4 hectare stand in Selbourne Brooke where the Imbizo District Resources Centre is to be built."
The letter states that the project is thought will cost no less than two million dollars. Sibanda said the ground breaking of the site will be held on Friday 30 September at 10 am at the site
