Man beats up wife over phone call

A man from Richmond in Bulawayo is in trouble after he assaulted his wife over a phone call from his girlfriend.
David Banga (42) was not asked to plead to the domestic violence charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa.
The court heard that Banga assaulted his wife Siduduzile Moyo (35) on September 22 at 10pm while they were at their home. Banga received a phone call from his girlfriend and Moyo questioned him over it.
This did not go down well with him as he pounced on her and assaulted her with clinched fists on the face.
He further allegedly assaulted her with a bunch of wire and she started bleeding through her nose. A report made to the police led to Banga's arrest.
