City of Bulawayo celebrate 73rd anniversary

The city of Bulawayo has celebrated its 73rd Anniversary on Friday as it was declared a City on 4th November 1943.

Through its every year, a Civic Service to commemorate and celebrate The City of Bulawayo is held at the incumbent Mayor's Church on a Sunday near the 4th of November.

"This year, the services will be on Sunday, 6th November 2016 at the Large City Hall from 10:00 hours. This year the services will be conducted by the Seventh Day Adventist Church at the Large City Hall. The Church service will be conducted by the Mayor's Chaplain, with Councillors, Council Staff and members of the public in attendance," reads the council's Facebook wall post.

"During the service, the Prayer points will be: Prayer for Rains, economic Situation, Moral Uprightness, Leadership and God fearing youth."
