Oil company sues Harare client over debt

Afric Oil Petroleum Private Limited company has sued its client Kies Square Enterprises (PVT) LTD over a debt of $169 601, 41 for fuel products debt supplied to it.
Afric Petroleum filed the application at the Bulawayo High Court on November 1.
"The plaintiff claim is for the payment of $169 601, 41 for fuel products supplied by plaintiff to defendant in terms of 14 days credit facility agreement between plaintiff and defendant which despite repeated demand defendant has neglected, refused or failed to pay," reads the summons.
Afric Petroleum demanded interest at a prescribed rate from the date of summons to the date of full payment. It stated that the sum of $174 933 being the value of fuel products defendant was contracted by plaintiff to deliver plaintiff's clients but which defendant failed or neglected to deliver and failed to account for it.
Afric Petroleum said they entered into the agreement in February 2016 in which the defendant failed to abide by the requirements of the deal.
