Man assault neighour for being too proud

A Makokoba man allegedly assaulted his neighbour when he met him walking with his girlfriend and accused him of being too proud.

Prince Nkomo (24) pleaded guilty to the charge of assault when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. The magistrate convicted and remanded him to November 25 for sentence.

The court heard that on November 13 this year Nkomo met Richman Mufaro walking with his girlfriend Beauty Nkomo.

He accused him of being too proud and a misunderstanding ensued leading to Nkomo assaulting him with an empty bottle. He sustained injuries and made a report to the police leading to Nkomo's arrest.
